A person leaving homelessness needs housing, yes — and also someone who will read their resume, teach them a skill, or make the call that gets them an interview. That part is people. It could be you.
NCG is early. Interest is being collected now and roles open as staff capacity and housing sites come online — we will tell you honestly where things stand.
Volunteer roles
Every role below is real work with a defined purpose. Roles marked 'In planning' are not yet scheduled — we list them so you know what is coming.
Sit with participants preparing for work — resumes, interview practice, and figuring out what a realistic first job looks like.
You have hired people, managed people, or navigated a career change yourself.
Teach a practical session — budgeting, digital basics, tenancy skills, credentialing prep, or a trade you know well.
You teach, train, or explain your trade clearly and patiently.
Open doors. Introduce NCG to employers who hire for entry-level roles, CDL work, or healthcare support positions.
You have a network in logistics, healthcare, trades, hospitality, or staffing.
Give NCG the professional help a young organization cannot yet buy — legal, accounting, HR, design, IT, or grant writing.
You are licensed or experienced in your field and can commit to a scoped project.
Carry the mission into rooms NCG is not in yet — your workplace, congregation, alumni group, or neighborhood association.
You are comfortable talking about this work and asking people to pay attention.
Direct support around housing sites — welcome kits, move-in help, meals, seasonal drives, and event logistics.
You want hands-on work and can show up on a scheduled day.

A staff member responds by email. If a role is still in planning, we say so rather than leaving you waiting.
Placement depends on what NCG has capacity to supervise. We would rather place you well than place you fast.
Roles with direct participant contact require a background check and orientation before starting.

Any role with direct contact with participants requires a background check and an orientation. Remote, project-based, and advocacy roles generally do not.
Group and corporate volunteering is being planned alongside our partnership work. Submit the form and note the group size — we will contact you when group days are scheduled.
In-kind donations are handled case by case so NCG only accepts what it can store and use. Use the form and describe what you would like to give.
It is stored privately and used only to contact you about volunteering. It is never sold, rented, traded, or published. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
