Privacy Policy
PRIVACY POLICY
People trust us with more than money. This explains exactly what New Chapter God collects through this website, why, and what we will never do with it.
Last updated: This policy is current as of the most recent site update.
The short version
We collect only what we need to process a gift, respond to an inquiry, or run this website. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We never publish a donor's name or gift amount without that donor's explicit permission.
Information you give us
- Donation details: name, email, billing information, gift amount, and whether the gift is one-time or monthly.
- Volunteer and partner inquiries: name, contact details, availability, interests, and anything you choose to write in a message field.
- Correspondence: emails and messages you send us, kept so we can respond and follow up.
Payment information
Card numbers and bank details are entered directly with our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal) and are never stored on New Chapter God servers. We receive only confirmation details such as the amount, date, gift type, and the last digits or reference the processor returns.
Those processors handle your payment data under their own privacy policies and security certifications.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tooling may record technical information such as pages visited, referring links, approximate region, browser type, and time of visit. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which content is useful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How we use information
- To process donations and issue receipts.
- To respond to volunteer, partner, and general inquiries.
- To send updates about the campaign and programs when you have asked for them.
- To meet accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not share donor lists with other organizations.
- We do not publish donor names, gift amounts, or recognition of any kind without written permission.
- We do not publish identifying details or photographs of program participants without informed, revocable consent.
Program participant confidentiality
Information shared by people seeking or receiving services is treated as confidential and is kept separate from fundraising activity. Participant stories are published only with informed consent that can be withdrawn at any time, and consent is never a condition of receiving help.
Sharing with service providers
We use third parties to operate the site and process gifts — including hosting, database, email, and payment providers. They may access information only as needed to perform that service. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses your browser's local storage for basic functionality, such as remembering that you have already seen our introductory message. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from any email update using the link in the message.
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete information, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- You can cancel a monthly gift at any time.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
