Major Giving

Leadership gifts build the whole pathway, not one night of shelter

The New Chapter Campaign is raising $5 million to fund housing, stabilization, training, and employment as one connected system. A leadership commitment does not simply add to that total — it decides how quickly the next stage of it can start.

Giving levels

What a leadership commitment funds

Levels describe the intended use of a gift at that scale. Every commitment is discussed and documented before it is accepted.

  • $5,000 – $9,999

    Chapter Circle

Underwrites the wraparound support — case management hours, documents, transportation — that keeps a household housed through its first unstable months.

  • $10,000 – $24,999

    Threshold Circle

Funds a full training-to-employment pathway, from readiness coaching through certification costs and the first weeks on the job.

  • $25,000 – $99,999

    Cornerstone Circle

Expands supportive housing capacity and the staffing that makes new units work rather than simply exist.

  • $100,000+

    Foundation Circle

Leadership and transformational commitments that move an entire campaign milestone forward and unlock the next phase of the plan.

Campaign milestones

Where a major gift lands in the plan

These are campaign milestones and planning targets, not guarantees of specific outcomes.

  1. $100K

  2. $250K

Strengthen case management and community resources.

  4. $1M

    Expand supportive housing capacity.

  5. $2.5M

Broaden transportation and employment pathway support.

  6. $5M

Full campaign vision across housing and programs.

Where it goes

Fund a pillar, not a line item

Leadership donors can direct a commitment to one pillar of the Housing-to-Independence model.

  • Prevention first

Keeping a household housed costs far less, financially and humanly, than rehousing them after a loss.

  • Housing with support

Housing without support is fragile. Support without housing is temporary. NC GOD INC refuses to separate them.

  • Skills tied to real jobs

Training is only worth what it opens. Pathways are chosen against employers who are actually hiring.

  • Employment with follow-through

The first ninety days on a new job decide everything. Nobody should face them alone.

  • Affordable housing development

A pathway needs somewhere to lead. Expanding the supply of affordable units is part of the work.

  • Community partnership

No organization solves this alone. NC GOD INC connects people to the resources already around them.

  • Dignity in every step

People are met as neighbors with plans, not as cases with problems.

  • Honest measurement

Progress is reported as verified data becomes available — never as a marketing number.

Why lead

What a lead commitment changes

  • Leadership gifts set the pace

Campaigns are won early. A committed lead gift is the signal that tells every later donor the plan is real and the organization is worth backing.

  • Multi-year pledges fund staffing

Housing and case management are recurring costs. A pledge spread across two or three years lets NC GOD INC hire and keep the people who do the work.

  • You will see where it went

Major donors receive direct reporting tied to the funded pillar, including what did not go as planned. NC GOD INC would rather lose a renewal than overstate a result.
